Our Story
XZENDA is a British fashion brand founded in 2014 by Xee Davies, born from a lifelong love of design, beautiful fabrics and the art of creating clothing that makes women feel extraordinary.
Xee's fascination with fashion began when she was just six years old. Growing up near a seamstress, she spent countless afternoons watching fabric being measured, cut and sewn into garments. She was captivated by the sound of the sewing machine, the attention given to every detail and the remarkable way a simple piece of fabric could become something beautiful.
At home, fashion magazines opened another world. She studied the clothes, the shapes, the fabrics and the way designers brought their ideas to life. Soon, she began sketching designs of her own, developing a creative instinct that would eventually become the foundation of XZENDA.
Her greatest fascination was always with prints.
The richness of colour, the character of each pattern and the endless possibilities of working with printed fabrics inspired her imagination. She believed African prints deserved to be celebrated beyond everyday fashion, finding their place in elegant, beautifully constructed garments for life's most memorable occasions.
That belief became one of the driving forces behind XZENDA.
Founded with a desire to bring African prints into the world of luxury fashion, XZENDA has always been an expression of individuality. For Xee, a beautiful print is more than a decorative element. It is an opportunity to create something distinctive, something that reflects the personality and presence of the woman wearing it.
Over time, her understanding of fashion became more personal.
During a period of stillness and reflection, Xee began to appreciate more deeply how closely clothing and emotion are connected. She recognised that the right garment can change how a woman feels about herself, bringing a sense of confidence, comfort and assurance that goes beyond appearance.
This understanding continues to influence her approach to design.
Today, XZENDA specialises in African print occasion dresses and beautifully structured corsets, crafted from expressive African prints and luxurious jacquard fabrics. Each design explores the relationship between fabric, silhouette and detail, bringing together elegance, femininity and individuality.
From wedding celebrations and evening occasions to proms and formal events, XZENDA creates clothing for women who appreciate beautiful design and enjoy expressing their personal style.
